Helping create effective learning environments
This project is to manage the MPFI Schools 1 project portfolio which comprises of 4 schools: St Rynagh's Community College, Banagher, St Mary's Christian Brothers School, Portlaoise, Co. Laois., Scoil Chríost Rí Secondary School, Portloaise, Co. Laois and Gallen Community School, Ferbane, Co. Offaly.
The PPP Concession is wholly owned by abrdn, managing the on-going obligations of the PPP project through a concession, which is scheduled to terminate in 2035. The partner and principal building occupier is the Department of Education, which leases the premises from the special purpose vehicle (SPV), MPFI Schools 1 DAC.The schools were constructed by Pierse Contracting Ltd and FM services are provided by Sodexo Ltd. The schools were constructed in 2009 and 2010 and went operational from August 2010
As part of its obligations, the SPV manages the facilities contract which includes:
- Estate Management and Lifecycle Works
- Catering for Pupils
- Grounds Maintenance
- Cleaning
- Security Services
- Community Use
